The second freshmeat session of the current intake was a success today, with lots of promising derby girls (and refs) turning up.
There was lots of good feedback from the coaches and drills included single and double knee falls, four point falls, 180 degree knee slides, plough stops and T stops. It was recommended that everyone starts practicing their body bridges, push ups and sit ups now so they’re good and ready for the yellow star test.
For now everyone will be focusing on their derby stance, falls, stops and crossovers as the countdown to the white star test ticks down.
